WELCOME

Moving your house can be quite a daunting task. After all, it involves packing as well as transporting so many items of different shapes and sizes. What's more, some items will be costlier than others and will require special care. Fortunately for you, there are a few things you can do to reduce the stress involved in moving your house and below we have put together a list for your reference

Keeping organized

Get the most out of your move by sorting out items that you need from the things you don't need. You can even get help from the British Association of Removers for segregating all the things in your house. Moving your house is the perfect chance to get rid of any unwanted items. Don't miss out on it. Anything from old furniture to old clothes you no longer wear can be gotten rid of at this time. If you can reorganize everything in your home, you will suddenly find yourself with a whole lot of empty space and a huge pile of junk to get rid of.

The last thing anyone wants when moving their house is to run out of packing material. The amount of time that will be wasted in buying new material between the move will prove a lot more costly than keeping a few extra boxes just in case. Try and make an estimate of the number of boxes you'll need to pack all your stuff and then buy another 3 boxes to be safe. Don't forget to get enough brown tape and bubble wrap as well.

The first thing that you should do is to make a list of everything that needs to be done during the move. Start off with the house clearance companies and agencies which you will need to inform of your move and notify them well in advance to avoid any mix-ups. If you can make a list with all the jobs that need done during the move, you will find the work flowing smoothly and yourself working more efficiently since you don't always have that nagging doubt in your mind that you're forgetting something.

Stock up
Make up your mind

One very important tip for anyone moving their house is to start early. If there are things in your house which you are not going to need or can live without till you move, pack them up first. Maybe even before you start moving. Remember, the more stuff you get out of the way in the beginning, the lesser you will have to do at the end.

The last tip is also the easiest to follow. Use your head when packing boxes. Always pack heavy things on the bottom of the box and light things on the top. Try to spread the heavy stuff evenly among boxes instead of stuffing them all together. You have to be able to carry the boxes after packing them as well don't you? Use individual wrapping for delicate items or any items that are hazardous. Put clear markings on each box as to what it contains and handle it with the appropriate care.

If you can do all of this, you will find that moving your house is not as difficult as you imagined.
